Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
