Netflix Casts Perfect Actor for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the major clash isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.
Netflix announced this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. The role can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and anime.
This performer joins a number of recently announced actors who will portray the group to reality, such as head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.
Though this character is a major member of the group, the character won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the second season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on March 10, 2026.
